Lohmann Animal Health offers a range of tested acid blends as well as customised formulations.
The primary functions of acid supplementation in animal feed or drinking water are preservation and disinfection. The additional effect of a reduction of the pH-value in the stomach supports pepsin activity and therefore results in improved digestion of nutrients. Antimicrobial effects on pathogenic bacteria are further achievements of acid supplementation in animal feed. The energetic utilization of organic acids contributes to the animal´s nutritive supply.
Acid blends consisting of various organic and inorganic acids synergistically combine to enhance these special positive effects over and above those that can be achieved by using single acid products.
CUXACID S
CUXACID S is a multi-component acid blend containing formic, lactic, propionic, acetic and sorbic acids. It consists of more than 60 % pure acids. Its special combination offers a complex mode of action and scientists have clearly demonstrated the efficacy of CUXACID S in animal trials.
CUXACID B
CUXACID B is a feed additive containing not only a blend of organic acids, phosphoric acid but also benzoic acid as a flavour component along with pectin and inulin from chicory and sugar beet pulp as prebiotic substances. Each ingredient of CUXACID B exhibits a distinct activity in the digestive tract and thus, a broad variety of effects can be achieved.
CUXACID L
CUXACID L is a liquid blend of organic acids, specifically developed for application in drinking water. Advantages are hygiene improvements of the water and a quick acid supply.
CUXACID TM
CUXACID TM stands for customised (tailor made) formulations. Depending on the circumstances or targets of the use of acids, specific blends or formulations might offer the best solutions. Lohmann Animal Health provides these solutions.
